Tutorial 2 Organizing Bookmarks

TIPS:

1.  Timers range from 10 seconds to 30 seconds.  My suggestion would be to group your Surf  Groups by timer.  Put  a few with the same time in a Surf Group folder and add to it if you find yourself waiting for the timer in any of them.

2.  Rotate days and times that you surf on each of the Traffic Exchanges so you will reach a larger audience.

3.   I have my "Traffic Exchanges" folder in a main folder I call "My Online Business".  That way I can create other sub-folders for other business items such as:  Contacts, eBooks, Expenses, Training
Material, Business Software,  ect.

4.  This filing and bookmarking system can be used for all of your business needs such as:  Safelists, Advertising,  Forums, PTR/PTC, Banner Exchanges, Rotators,
Affiliate Logins, Blogs, ect.

The key to managing your Programs is having a Filing and Bookmarking system.  We discussed the Filing System in Tutorial 1.  This tutorial will cover managing Traffic Exchanges but can be used for whatever you choose.  Without this System many hours can be taken from you in searching for the information you need...and...if you are surfing just one Traffic Exchange, it is not going to deliver the results that you need in pageviews, sales or signups.

Multi-tab Browsers

Multi-tab Browsers allow you to surf more than one, multiplying the traffic to your website.  You will know what I mean if you've been surfing just one Traffic Exchange and then change over to this Filing and Bookmarking system.

There are many Multi-tab Browsers but I am only familiar with Mozilla Firefox and Slimbrowser.  I started with Slimbrowser and was immediately sold on this type of browser for everything I do on my computer.  Mozilla Firefox has its limitations but is believed to be the most secure and works great with this system so I will use it for this Tutorial.  Also, for those of you who are on dial-up, I have found that the graphics are much better and the surfing is more efficient than on Internet Explorer.  You can download Mozilla Firefox from the link in the left column on this page.

I will figure you are managing 16 Traffic Exchanges and will only go over the basics to get you started.

Creating Folders in your Bookmark Manager
  1. Open your Mozilla Firefox browser and click on Bookmarks at the top.
  2. Click on Manage Bookmarks.
  3. Create a folder by clicking on "Folder" at the top and name it "TE Surf Group 1".
  4. Create 3 more folders and name them:  TE Surf Group 2, TE Surf Group 3 and TE Surf Group 4.
Creating Bookmarks to store in your Folders

Your Folders will hold all of your Login URLs.  The easiest way to accomplish this is to go to the Login page of each program and bookmark that page.

  1. Right click the Login page.
  2. Click on "Bookmark this page".  A box will open.
  3. Name it after the Traffic Exchange.
  4. You will also see in this box "Create in".  Click on the drop-down menu.  Your Folders will be listed.  If you don't see the Folder you want, there is another button to the right of the drop-down button.  Click that and you will see all of your Folders.
  5. Highlight the Folder you want to store the Bookmark in.
  6. Click "OK".
Store 4 Login pages in each of the "TE Surf Group" Folders.
When you are done with your Bookmarks, close out the Bookmark Manager.

Let's Surf with Tabs

Now, at the top of your Mozilla Firefox browser:
  1. Click on Bookmarks
  2. Lay your cursor over one of the "TE Surf Groups".  A drop-down menu will open.
  3. Go to the bottom of the menu and click on "Open in Tabs".
All of the bookmarks that you have in that Surf Group will open in your browser and you will have 4 tabs to click on in turn.  For the higher timers, I store a couple extra Surf links in that Surf Group.  Now, instead of clicking "Next" and waiting 30 seconds to click it again, you can click "Next" then click on the following tab, click "Next" and then move on to the following tab, ect.  Be sure to view each page in consideration of the page owner.  I wouldn't want anyone to breeze past my pages so I look at each page.  Not only that, don't forget the bonus pages and the anti-cheat pages.

Alert!
I  STRONGLY urge that you give yourself time to actually view the pages.  To rush madly through the tabs without viewing the pages is called "Credit Harvesting".  That will defeat the purpose of Traffic Exchanges and the whole system could collapse.  Results just could never happen with this kind of practice.

When you are done surfing with that TE Surf Group, click on bookmarks and choose another TE Surf group, click on the "Open in Tabs" again and they will replace the Tabs that are there.

That's it.  I promise, it will become easier as you use it.  Explore all of Mozilla Firefox's menus and experiment with it.  There is a lot of useful stuff to find.

Have fun and Happy Surfing.
